Terms of Service

Welcome to ReadersGuild. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ReadersGuild mobile application and website (the “Service”), provided by EchoForge (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the Service.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

2. Subscriptions and Payments

Premium Features: Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription (“Premium”). We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, and payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Billing: By subscribing, you agree to the pricing and payment terms of the respective App Store. Subscriptions generally renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Refunds: Refund requests are handled by the respective App Store and are subject to their refund policies.

3. The Guild System (Referrals & Caps)

Book Cap: Free accounts have a soft limit of 10 tracked books.

Referral System: You may increase your book cap by inviting friends to the Service. Both the referrer and the referee receive +3 book capacity upon successful sign-up and initial activity.

Fair Use: We reserve the right to revoke referral bonuses or suspend accounts found to be gaming or exploiting the referral system (e.g., creating fake accounts).

4. User Content and Conduct

You retain ownership of the content you post (captions, notes, photos). However, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Service.

Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to:

• Post illegal, offensive, or harassing content.
• Impersonate others or provide false information.
• Use the Service for unauthorized commercial purposes.
• Interfere with the operation of the Service or attempt to bypass any security measures.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, logos, and original code, is the property of EchoForge and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or our business interests.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may delete your account at any time within the app settings.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. EchoForge does not guarantee that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EchoForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Service.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which EchoForge is registered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
